Our Vision
Our Ministry in Rwanda
After about a year, a vision became clear to us: to teach God's Word to local church pastors and leaders in Rwanda. This is a response to what we've seen here the acceptance of any ideas within churches without any examination. This is because a large number of pastors and leaders do not have a theological degree, and as a result, the congregation remains ignorant of the Bible because there is no one to teach them.
Our initial vision is to teach and train 12 pastors and church leaders. This will be done through monthly conferences spanning six to seven months.
Why monthly conferences? We believe that true discipleship comes through consistent interaction and a personal relationship with each individual in the group. Our goal is not just to teach God's Word, but also to influence their lives so they can be a model and example for their churches.
We've noticed a lack of good examples in churches because pastors are seen as authority figures. Therefore, we aim to incorporate the idea of discipleship into all the materials we provide, so they can have a positive impact on their practical lives. We also believe that a direct encounter with God's Word has a profound effect.
We are also praying that God will arrange time for us to meet with the pastors' families to help them understand God's view of Christian marriage and the Christian family.
However, the greater goal is for these pastors and leaders to go back to their churches and start a Bible study group, teaching others with the impact of what they've learned and seen in their own lives. This is based on what Paul said "And the things you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also." 2 Timothy 2:2.
Our second primary objective is to share the Gospel directly within the local churches.
We recognize the churches in Rwanda as a uniquely strategic and fertile environment for ministry. As you know, Rwanda has a deep-rooted Christian tradition, meaning widespread church attendance on Sundays. This high level of internal gathering allows us to effectively deliver the Gospel right where the people are, making the time spent inside the church an exceptional opportunity for focused evangelism without the limitations of traditional outside outreach.
