It is one of the places I have loved the most.

God opened a door for ministry in a village located about four hours away from the capital. November 2nd was a profoundly moving day in my life.
The pastor who invited me and I arrived late on November 1st by bus to a simple place where we slept.

The next morning, at 7:30 AM, we travelled to the mountain by motorcycles on very, very rugged roads for about an hour and a half, reaching the village situated on the mountaintop.

When I arrived, an elderly woman met me and said, "Now God's promise to me is fulfilled, because I have been praying for 20 years to see a white person (Omozongo) preach in our church."
I couldn't imagine that these people live so high on a mountain and hadn't even seen a person of a different skin color.
God gave us a wonderful time where I shared the passage from (Mark 1:40-45).
I focused mainly on verse 41, where "Jesus was moved with compassion, stretched out His hand and touched him." Before the Lord Jesus healed him, He touched him, because no one else wanted to touch this leper as he was considered unclean in their eyes.
I was surprised that the children were scared of me, but after a while, we played and had fun together. I loved them very much.
God gave us a wonderful opportunity in the monthly training for these pastors.

In this session, we talked about methods of studying and interpreting the Bible (Hermeneutics). We addressed this topic because of the spread of much false teaching confirmed by Bible verses, yet those verses are taken out of context.
For example, salvation by works—they take the letter of James as proof of their doctrine. One of the largest Pentecostal churches, with about two million members, teaches this doctrine inside its churches. Furthermore, many verses are used by pastors to support their position regarding the Prosperity Gospel.
We chose practical examples to explain the methods of interpretation so they could be beneficial in their daily lives concerning financial stewardship and other practical topics.
Prayer Requests
We need prayer for the impact of God's Word on the lives of the pastors.
Prayer for the provision of the ministry needs (training sessions – travel to remote villages).
Prayer for Abir's health as she is pregnant. We are thankful to God for this gift that will arrive soon.
